Learn More About Doctor Desai

Dr. Desai joins Wake Spine and Pain with nearly 20 years of experience in chronic pain management after 10 years of experience in anesthesiology. He is board certified in Interventional Pain Management, Cardio-Vascular Anesthesia, and Anesthesiology. He has spent years working closely with patients to develop patient-centric treatment plans that focus on improving quality of life for every patient.

He completed the first two blocks of his Anesthesiology residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN. He then finished the final block of his Anesthesiology residency at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA, where he further pursued a Fellowship in Cardio-Vascular Anesthesia. He spent six years as an associate faculty member in the Department of Cardiovascular Anesthesia at Emory University Hospital.

Dr. Desai moved to eastern North Carolina and became a member of the department of Anesthesia and Pain Management at Cape Fear Valley Hospital for 19 years, followed by years of experience at both Interventional Pain Center and National Spine & Pain Centers. We are pleased to have Dr. Desai bring his knowledge and skill to help our patients achieve better outcomes.
