Dr. Aaron Panicker, MD is an interventional pain management physician at Wake Spine and Pain. Dr. Panicker’s medical training began in Michigan when he was accepted into a dual BA/MD program at Wayne State University out of high school. After earning his doctor of medicine degree at WSUSOM, he went on to complete residency at the University of Florida. Dr. Panicker then completed a one year fellowship in pain medicine at the University of Virginia. During fellowship, he gained extensive knowledge in MRI imaging and advanced interventional procedures for chronic pain.
Dr. Panicker frequently performs fluoroscopy-guided epidural steroid injections, facet and sacroiliac joint injections, radiofrequency ablation, spinal cord stimulator trials, discograms, and kyphoplasties. He has extensive experience in more invasive spine therapies like basivertebral nerve ablation, DRG, and peripheral nerve stimulators. With a keen understanding of MRI, fluoroscopy, and ultrasound imaging, he hopes to work with his patients to improve their chronic pain.
In his spare time, Dr. Panicker enjoys traveling with his wife and his puppy, Luna. Frequently, their Saturday mornings are spent together in search of the next great coffee shop.
