Shalaila Salazar, NP
Shalaila Salazar is an AACN board certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with experience in Cardiothoracic ICU, Neuro ICU, hospitalist and family medicine. She is proud to call Eastern, NC her home for over 20 years having practiced at formerly Pitt Memorial Hospital/Vidant Medical Center, now ECU Health since 2006. She is excited to continue her journey in pain management and is passionate about research and understands that while pain is a very personal experience, it requires actively engaging with patients and their families to achieve the best possible individualized outcome with a purpose to relieve suffering, improve quality of life and enhance function.
Shalaila is a devoted mother to her two children and enjoys practicing pilates, swimming, biking, running and participating in triathlons. She volunteers at the Eastern NC food bank and the Greenville Shelter Clinic.
