Susan True Bertrand, M.D.
Dr. Susan Bertrand is a board-trained Pain Management specialist in North Carolina, providing care through Wake Spine & Pain’s clinic locations in Fayetteville, Greenville, and Garner. She treats both chronic and acute pain, offering a comprehensive, patient-centered approach that includes minimally invasive interventional procedures alongside carefully managed medication
plans.
Dr. Bertrand earned her medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Washington in Seattle, followed by a fellowship in Pain Management at the Alaska Spine Center.
Her clinical expertise spans a wide range of diagnostic and interventional pain treatments, including discography, epidural nerve blocks, lumbar sympathetic injections, spinal cord stimulation, stellate ganglion injections, and trigger point injections.
Beyond her clinical practice, Dr. Bertrand is deeply committed to service. She has participated in medical mission work in Haiti, Peru, Guatemala, Honduras, Uganda, and Nicaragua, and has also worked with children with disabilities in El Salvador and China.
