Matthew Brown, NP-C
Matthew Brown is a nationally board certified Family Nurse Practitioner who completed his BSN through SUNY Plattsburgh, Plattsburgh, NY, and MSN through Sage Graduate school of Nursing, Troy, NY, graduating with honors from both programs of study. He is Board certified through ANCC.
He was raised in Upstate NY, after graduating high school, joined the US Navy as a hospital Corpsman serving in the Gulf War. His Nursing career over the past 15 years has included Telemetry, ICU, Emergency Room, Public Health, and Hospice/Palliative Care.
Matthew’s interest and experience in Pain medicine has continued to develop in the Family practice setting. He has witnessed how chronic pain has a profound impact on an individual’s overall health and well-being, and how proper management of pain improves quality of life.
Matthew also is certified for MAT (medication assisted therapy) for Opioid Use Disorder, working with patients in their recovery journey.
Matthew is passionate about treating the whole patient physically, emotionally, and socially.
Matthew enjoys outdoor activities such as cycling and hiking, playing guitar and reading.
Matthew enjoys family time and activities with his wife and 3 daughters. He values a healthy work/life balance.
