Learn More About Doctor Nancy Faller
Dr. Faller has been fascinated with medicine since her earliest encounters as a volunteer while still a high school student in south Florida. She graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing and worked as a critical care nurse for 4 years. She discovered quickly that she wanted to further her education and spent those years working toward that goal. She joined the Army to finance her endeavor and so it began. She was a flight surgeon in the Army which gave her the opportunity to learn to fly a helicopter as well as to work with pilots and their families. She completed her residency in anesthesiology at the Medical University of South Carolina and stayed on as an instructor for a couple of years.
Dr. Faller and her husband (also an anesthesiologist) then decided to move to Winston Salem to join a colleague in opening a pain management practice. They bought a farm in Davie County which gave them the opportunity to become involved in animal rescue. They manage a charitable foundation dedicated to the rescue and care of horses, cats, dogs, and farm animals which is the most exciting adventure of all.
